Amanda A. Mohammed, MPH, GA-CEM, AEMT, CHES is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating operational facets of CEPAR programs that relate to campus/community preparedness. Prior to joining CEPAR, she worked in consulting for academia and the COVID-19 pandemic response with the Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH) as an epidemiology assistant, where she continues to serve. As a graduate student, she was a member of the Rollins Student Outbreak and Response Team (RSPH SORT) and worked to promote and advocate for emergency preparedness among the broader Emory community. She also works closely with many student organizations through advisement and coordinating activities that promote an Emory Ready community.

Amanda is a graduate of the Rollins School of Public Health (Class of 21PH), a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), an Advanced EMT (AEMT) with Emory EMS, a GA Certified Emergency Manager (GA-CEM), and a member of Emory’s Mu Chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK). Amanda is also a Unit Leader for the newly established Emory University Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). She is actively involved as a volunteer for both the Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale (GNR) and Fulton County MRC in addition to her volunteer service with Team Rubicon, Southeast Region 4.
