Are there any additional costs associated with the Emory EMS Education Program beyond tuition?

All students are required to purchase their own EMS boots and personal EMS tools (e.g., stethoscope, trauma shears, pen light, etc.). The total cost of these items typically ranges from $120-$300. Students are also responsible for any costs associated with transportation to and from clinical locations (i.e., gasoline, Ubers/Lyfts, etc.). Historically, students that rely on services like Uber/Lyft need to budget an additional $500-$1,000 for transportation-related costs. These cost estimates are not guaranteed and are subject to change. Education Program Staff members are mindful of these costs and will gladly work with individual students to help facilitate carpooling, whenever possible.

Is there financial aid available for the Emory EMS Education Program?

A limited number of scholarships are available for students with demonstrated financial need. If you believe you may qualify, please email us at emoryems@emory.edu.
