Emergency Exercises and Drills

CEPAR designs and conducts emergency exercises on a periodic basis in order to better prepare the Emory community.

CEPAR follows the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) format and standards when conducting and evaluating our exercises. We conduct various types of exercises ranging from workshops and tabletop exercises to functional drills and full-scale exercises. Our exercise scenarios, goals, and objectives are based on our identified hazards and are designed to test our Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). We partner with the local community and surrounding public safety agencies in the Atlanta area.

For more information regarding our exercises, please reach out to our Planning and Exercise Manager, Angela Adams.

Preparing for the Unthinkable

CEPAR uses real-time reenactments to plan responses in the event of man-made or natural disasters, bringing together first responders from state and local entities across the metro Atlanta area and hundreds of volunteers to role-play disaster events.
