Emergency Preparedness Training

The "Campus Preparedness for Faculty, Staff, and Students" module provides a brief introduction to the CEPAR offce and five easy steps to prepare for emergencies that may affect Emory's campus. The training module is only intended to be an introduction to campus preparedness.

For a more in depth training on preparedness, please email emergency@emory.edu to schedule an Emergency Preparedness Training for your student or faculty/staff group. Topics covered in this training include medical preparedness, severe weather, safety resources, and more.

Looking for preparedness checklists or emergency procedures? Please visit the Preparedness section of our website to download a pdf version of the “Just in Time Guide,” and student/faculty preparedness checklists.

Stop the Bleed

Accidents can happen at any time and any place. Serious, life-threatening bleeding can happen in people who are injured in accidents or disasters. For this reason, Emory University has taken the steps to ensure bleeding control kits are readily available across campus. In fact, we currently have a bleeding control kit that includes a tourniquet everywhere an AED (automatic external defibrillator) is located.

Knowing how to control bleeding can mean the difference between life and death. That is why we offer classes to prepare anyone who is interested in handling such an emergency.

This course is offered free of charge and in person to anyone who would like to learn how to deal with a bleeding emergency.

Please reach out to Wade Miles to schedule training.
