Stop the Bleed
Accidents can happen at any time and any place. Serious, life-threatening bleeding can happen in people who are injured in accidents or disasters. For this reason, Emory University has taken the steps to ensure bleeding control kits are readily available across campus. In fact, we currently have a bleeding control kit that includes a tourniquet everywhere an AED (automatic external defibrillator) is located.
Knowing how to control bleeding can mean the difference between life and death. That is why we offer classes to prepare anyone who is interested in handling such an emergency.
This course is offered free of charge and in person to anyone who would like to learn how to deal with a bleeding emergency.
