AmandaBear is the Threat Assessment and Intelligence Investigator for Emory University’s Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response (CEPAR), where she supports the university’s mission through behavioral threat assessment, intelligence analysis, campus violence prevention efforts, and the development of policies and practices aligned with nationally recognized standards. She brings more than a decade of experience supporting higher education, public sector, and complex organizational environments. 
Her professional background includes experience in law enforcement, corporate investigations, and security consulting, providing her with a balanced perspective that integrates operational practice, policy analysis, and academic-informed frameworks. Throughout her career, Amanda has led and contributed to high-risk and sensitive investigations involving insider threat, misconduct, violence risk, and anti-corruption. 
In addition to her investigative work, Amanda is an experienced law-enforcement instructor, having developed and delivered training on investigations, threat assessment, officer safety, and policy-based decision-making. 
Amanda is actively engaged in professional leadership and industry collaborative initiatives focused on human threat and security-focused committees that emphasize training, awareness, and cross-sector collaboration. She holds multiple certifications through ASIS International, reflecting advanced expertise in protection, security risk management, and applied security principles.
