History

Established in 1992, as the Emory Rescue Squad, EEMS began as the vision of a few EMTs who wanted to provide enhanced emergency medical coverage to the Emory community.

EEMS became the first licensed collegiate medical first responder service in the state of Georgia. The EMS program marks its 30-year anniversary in 2022. This is a testament to the positive impacts of this program for the students, and the Emory community.
