Classroom and Lab Spaces
Located in the 1599 Building on Emory's Atlanta campus, our facilities include a spacious lecture hall and numerous breakout rooms that support small-group learning, skills training, and simulation.
In addition to our classroom and breakout spaces, the program incorporates on-location learning. Students participate in simulations conducted in realistic environments such as bathrooms, office spaces, outdoor courtyards, parking decks, and other everyday settings. These scenarios are designed to mirror the unpredictable conditions of real prehospital care and help students develop adaptability, situational awareness, and confidence in managing patients outside the controlled classroom environment.
State-of-the-Art Training Equipment

HIGH-FIDELITY SIMULATION MANNIKINS
The program integrates mid- and high-fidelity simulation manikins that breathe, speak, display pulses and respiratory rates, and support advanced procedures such as intubation, intravenous and intraosseous access, and medication administration.

INDUSTY STANDARD EQUIPMENT
Students also train with industry-standard equipment including Stryker LifePak 15 monitors, LUCAS devices, stretchers, and full EMS jump bags, ensuring realistic hands-on preparation for prehospital practice.

TRAUMA SIMULATORS
Students train with trauma simulators that feature bleeding control arms, allowing realistic practice with tourniquets, wound packing, and hemorrhage management. These high-realism tools build confidence in one of the most critical skills in prehospital care.
